CTL partners with Catalyst Telecom to distribute FLASH solid state voice mail product
Shelton, CT—January 20, 1999—CTL, Inc., a world leading provider of voice processing systems, today announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Catalyst Telecom, a major computer telephony distributor. The partnership enables Catalyst Telecom to distribute CTL’s award winning FLASH voice mail system to its network of resellers and value-added resellers (VAR’s).
FLASH, a diskless voice mail platform, is designed for the small to medium business market. The product is based on technology from Dialogic Corporation, the leader in computer telephony components. The solid state design provides increased reliability, ease of installation, ease of use and lowers the entry-level price of an office voice mail system. CTL’s award winning software, installed on FLASH, allows programming of the system using a touch-tone telephone. With the help of CTL’s default installation software, installation typically takes less than one (1) hour. FLASH offers a robust automated attendant and voice mail feature package not normally affordable by the smaller user. FLASH installs with most phone systems in the market today and is year 2000 compliant. The system offers 4 voice ports, 3 hours of message time and 50 user mailboxes and has a suggested retail price of $2,495.00. ‘Best of Show’ from Computer Telephony Expo ’98 and CTI magazine’s ‘1998 Product of Year’ are just two of the accolades in the FLASH portfolio.
“For the reseller, FLASH is the perfect solution for the Computer Telephony market,” said Sandra Rivera, Vice President of Catalyst Telecom, Dialogic’s largest distributor. “Our partnership with CTL allows us to give our resellers the computer telephony solutions they have been asking for.”
The new FLASH turnkey telephony solution offers Catalyst Telecom resellers with an immense business opportunity to deliver the voicemail solutions that their customers demand. Together with CTL, Catalyst Telecom will provide additional value through technical and sales training, computer telephony marketing assistance, and informative seminars through their well-known TechTeach program.
“Using the Dialogic VoiceBrick platform, CTL has developed a voice messaging solution that offers enterprise level technology for smaller office environments at an affordable price,” said Virginia Boylan, product line manager, Dialogic Corporation. “CTL and Catalyst are opening the door for resellers to quickly deliver the low-cost, easy-to-install systems needed to penetrate this expanding market.”
“Traditionally, the computer reseller did not aggressively participate in the computer telephony market. CTL set out to design a voice mail system that could be easily installed and maintained by a reseller. CTL found its answer with FLASH.”
